TINGA TINGA ARTISTS
Now there are several hundred Tinga Tinga painters in Tanzania. There are few in Kenya. But only few of them paint quality art. The natural place to learn how to paint is at Morogoro Stores in Oysterbay in Dar es Salaam. Here the Tinga Tinga family established the Tinga Tinga Arts Cooperative Society and many painters passed through before they continued independently. Here you can find interesting art and good painters. It does not mean that they are not skillful painters outside the cooperative. But it is more diffucult to find them.
Some of the older members of Tinga Tinga Arts Cooperative Society (TACS) are here. Some of them have been grounders of TACS.
